About:

Srilatha younger sister of actress late Sridevi. Srilatha along with their mother Rajeshwari used to accompany Sridevi on the film sets when she began her acting career. From 1972 to 1993, Srilatha was seen on the sets of almost every film of Sridevi. Both the sisters initially shared a very healthy bond but later something happened between the two that turned their relationship into a bitter one and they were not on talking terms.

Reportedly, Srilatha aspired to be an actress like her sister, but she couldn’t succeed and eventually became Sridevi’s manager instead. In 1989, Srilatha tied the knot with Indian politician and former member of legislative Assembly Sanjay Ramasamy.

Their relationship turned bitter after the demise of their father in 1991 and mother in 1996 and following the deaths of their parents, the sisters engaged in an extended legal dispute over ownership of the properties in Mumbai and Chennai.

It is said that Sridevi lost the legal battle to her sister due to which she had to pay a huge lump sum worth crore to Srilatha and her husband Sanjay as compensation. And because of that the sisters never spoke to each other for more than two decades.

However, reportedly Srilatha congratulated Sridevi in 2013 when the Mr India actress was honoured with her prestigious Padma Shri award for her contribution to the Indian cinema. It is also said that Sridevi met her sister two days before her death, but no one has confirmed this. Recently several pictures of Srilatha went viral on social media.
